Description

The state election commission (SEC) has struck down names of 55 officers from the list of observers sent by the state government, which has put the state government in a fix.

The state had to do a lot of calculations while sending a list of 410 observers to the poll panel as keeping the government offices running during the elections is one of its priorities. Of the 55 officers, with whom the SEC is not satisfied, who were turned down by the SEC

25 are from the forest services and 30 from commercial tax services.
